This position is commission-based - The target income is $120,000 - $140,000 annually

Position Overview:

As a Pre-owned vehicle Sales Manager, you will support our dealership staff and customers while assisting us in building and representing our brand. As a member of the store leadership team, you will use your retail management experience, leadership, and interpersonal skills to inspire exceptional performance and a great customer experience.

Who You Are:

  • You have the leadership skills and ability to set goals for the sales team to achieve targeted performance in used vehicle sales.
  • You have effectively managed used vehicle pricing, including price assignment and accurate posting on all cars.
  • You can foster a work environment that encourages continuous improvement with employees and supports training efforts that result in a consistent demonstration of Action Nissan's selling process, productivity, and employee satisfaction
  • You have a previous track record demonstrating effective advertising use to drive vehicle sales.
  • You value the customer experience and possess the ability to discuss terms with clients in a friendly and professional manner while maintaining profit levels at or above company standards.
  • You have directly been accountable for acquiring used vehicle inventory.
  • You have managed vehicle trade costs to support used vehicle sales, minimize wholesale losses, and consistently perform trade appraisals according to defined standards and processes.
  • You are a strong communicator and can monitor communication channels to ensure the highest levels of effectiveness and efficiency.

Essential Functions:

  • Leading yourself and the team in a way that supports Groove Auto's Vision and Mission
  • Engaging and motivating the team to achieve critical goals, performance expectations
  • Driving the business through a high level of involvement in the day-to-day operations
  • Managing the negotiation process with Sales Associates, ensuring that customers understand their vehicle purchase options and pricing
  • Appraising vehicles for trade
  • Managing all three areas of customer traffic: Showroom, E-Commerce, and Phones
  • Partnering with General Manager and General Sales Manager to plan and manage new and used vehicle inventory
  • Assisting in managing controllable expense elements for the New and Used Vehicle Departments
  • Analyzing the business to determine shortfalls and developing action plans to improve performance

To be considered for this position, you must currently meet or exceed the following metrics:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must average at least $1300 back-end PVR.
  • Applicants must average at least one preload sold per deal.
  • Applicants should average at least 15 cars per month.

The performance of a Sales Manager is measured by achieving:

  • Targeted unit sales and gross profit
  • Targeted Associate retention
  • Targeted Customer Satisfaction Index

Requirements:

  • Must have a proven track record of success and a minimum of two years of experience working as a Used Car Manager, General Manager or Sales Manager in an automotive dealership
  • Other previous automotive management experience will be considered
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen for illegal substances
  • Valid driver's license with a favorable driving record
