Position Title: Painter
Department: Facilities
Reports to: Chief Engineer Facilities Director
Supervises: None
Position Summary: The position involves performing high-quality painting services to maintain the overall appearance and condition of the property. Work will generally be performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to varying weather conditions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent in appropriate experience
- Valid Driver License
- Two or more years’ experience in a similar position
- Ability to work scheduled hours including, when necessary, holidays and weekends
- Ability to lift 75lbs.
- Lifting, bending, twisting, reaching crouching, and crawling throughout the course of the job
- Being on your feet for an extended period of time
Job Duties:
- Serves as a positive role model by:

- Representing the Club well in its relationships with members and vendors
- Continually provides services in the areas of:
- Painting of interior and exterior surfaces
- Proper wall and surface preparation, including sanding, patching, and priming
- Repairing torn or loose wall coverings
- Sanding and prepping of wood surfaces for stain and clear coat
- Proper application of stain and clear coats to wood surfaces
- Selecting and mixing paints to match colors and ensuring adherence to applicable safety standards
- Setting up and cleaning up work areas, ensuring all painting equipment and supplies are properly maintained
- Assessing and preparing surfaces to ensure proper paint adherence
- Applying primers or sealers to prepare newly constructed surfaces such as drywall and bare wood
- Utilizing various painting techniques to achieve desired finish and style
- Working safely with ladders, scaffolding, and lifts to access areas that are out of reach
- Complying with safety regulations while handling and disposing of paints, solvents, and other hazardous materials
- Assumes responsibility for the department by:
- Assisting the Chief Engineer and Maintenance Technicians with overall club maintenance and various projects
- Assisting supervisors in maintaining proper inventory levels
- Maintaining storage facilities in a safe and organized manner
- Communicating with supervisors and peers concerning ongoing projects, including completion of regular work orders
