Job Description

Facility Maintenance Technician III performs skilled maintenance and advanced repair of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other physical structures. Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical systems in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies. Being a Facility Maintenance Technician III uses hand and power tools. Repairs, alters, and maintains a variety of tools and equipment. Additionally, Facility Maintenance Technician III possesses advanced knowledge of mechanical and facilities repair and maintenance. Oversee and review the work of lower-level technicians. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervior or manager. The Facility Maintenance Technician III works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. To be a Facility Maintenance Technician III typically requires 3-5 years of related experience, or may need 2 years experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.
