Starting Pay: $21/hr

Join our field team to help decriminalize marijuana through the Dallas Freedom Act petition campaign! Our goal is to collect 35,000 signatures from registered Dallas voters in order to put the decriminalization of misdemeanor marijuana offenses on the ballot in November 2024. This job involves gathering signatures from voters, community outreach with local organizations and leaders, and hosting campaign events.

Duration: This position will start immediately and continue through May, 2024.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently collect signatures from registered Dallas voters
• Ability to organize local businesses, political organizations, and community leaders
• Effectively communicate with voters and maintain an expected rate of contact
• Enter data accurately
• Safely store petitions and return to manager when needed
• Communicate feedback from the field in a prompt and organized manner to manager
• Organize and host community events to facilitate signature collection
• Track time appropriately
• Be responsible for your own transportation and technology

Compensation: Starting at $21/hour up to 35 hours/week. Pay will be remitted twice monthly.

Schedule: Flexible. Afternoon and early evening hours during the week, but with an emphasis on longer days on weekends
