About the role
You will be responsible for coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments, both domestic and international. Develop, analyze, and optimize logistical procedures that make the supply chain more efficient and organized.
- Coordinate transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments both domestic and international.
- Initiate, process, and reconcile all damage claims for both inbound and outbound shipments.
- Reconcile invoices from suppliers to insure accurate pricing.
- Respond to dealer concerns and queries professionally.
- Be a liaison between dealers and carriers.
- Select qualified carriers for daily freight orders.
- Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound orders.
- Making special shipping arrangements, as necessary.
- Preparing transportation-related documents for dealers and carriers.
- Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards.
- Collect transportation related documents from carriers.
- Provide solutions and utilize critical thinking skills when issues arise.
- Addressing and resolving shipments issues as they arise.
- Communicate issues with co-workers and managers.
- Negotiate new contracts with supply chain vendors.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience working in parts logistics/inventory.
- Must be familiar with HTS codes or international shipping related documents.
Other:
- Must be able to lift heavy items/equipment.
