The Job
Job Brief
- This position will join our small-but-mighty team at Grow Glide reporting to the Receiving Supervisor of the Denton, TX warehouse. This position will help offload containers, trucks, and shipments coming into the Denton, Texas warehouse. Counting, reading numbers, and forklift driving is mandatory.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitors items for accuracy, correct quantity, correct item, etc., prior to leaving the department. Performs random sampling, as necessary.
- Monitors facility for security purposes, a safe work environment, and cleanliness and monitors truck log.
- Identifies problems and reports to supervisor/warehouse management.
- Helps research and resolves calls received from various departments.
- Operates basic and advanced warehouse vehicles (i.e., manual pallet jacks, propane sit-down forklifts, and/or order reach trucks).
- Helps develops and monitor schedules for all inbound deliveries into the warehouse.
- Promotes safe work practices.
- Supports associate involvement in safety through team engagement in the Safety Culture.
- Actively engages in continuous improvement efforts within the department using assessment tools to mitigate risk.
- Visually inspects boxes for damage or improper packaging.
- Identifies damaged products received into the facility and coordinates inspections thereof with QC/Inventory Control department.
- Troubleshoots and resolves issues with vendors who supply incorrect bar codes, wrong items, etc.
- Loads unload and move product by hand and/or skid.
- Fosters the Grow Glide Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of Grow Glide’s mission.
- Assists other departments when required.
- In order to meet customer service requirements, associates can be temporarily reassigned to other warehouse functions.
- Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
The Details
At-Will
- Employment with the company is for no specified period of time. Your employment with the company will be “at will,” meaning that either you or the company may terminate your employment at any time and for any reason, with or without cause. Any contrary representations that may have been made to you are superseded by this letter agreement. This is the full and complete agreement between you and the company on this term. Although your job duties, title, compensation, and benefits, as well as the Company’s personnel policies and procedures, may change from time to time, the “at will” nature of your employment may only be changed in an express written agreement signed by you and a duly authorized officer of the company (other than you).
Schedule
- Full-time, hourly; 8-hour shift.
- Must be able to work overtime when necessary.
- Based at our Denton, Texas location.
- Monday - Friday 8 am-5 pm CST, weekends as needed.
- Travel as needed, covered by the company.
Payment
- $18- $22 per hour based on experience, paid biweekly, and subject to adjustment pursuant to the company’s employee compensation policies.
- This role is non-exempt meaning you are eligible for overtime.

Requirements
Education and Experience
- High school diploma.
- A vocational or technical school diploma or the equivalent is required.
- Two years of job-related experience.
- Skills
- Must obtain a license to drive warehouse vehicles within specific time requirements.
- Knowledge of the receiving process is required.
- knowledge of tools required.
- Knowledge of various inventory systems is required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
Physical Requirements
- Bending to life items from the floor and racks are required.
- Lifting items between 25 and 50 pounds is required.
- Ability to operate at heights up to 50 feet required.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time required.
Miscellaneous
- The position may require a valid state driver’s license.
