Job Overview:
The Social Media Intern is responsible for supporting and executing social media strategy & content creation for Growve Brands. This includes daily posting on a variety of platforms, specifically TikTok. The ideal candidate will work with the Marketing team to plan, create, and carry-out social video content unique to each brand and aligned with current events and social trends. This person will also assist with influencer campaigns and other projects surrounding social.
The top candidate for this role will have strong analytical skills to measure and adjust efforts to maximize brand exposure and engagement. They are a savvy writer, visually creative and comfortable on camera.
They are organized, communicative and willing to learn how social impacts e-commerce marketplaces, like Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Target and others.
Objectives and Responsibilities:
- Assist Social Media Manager with social strategy development for platforms like TikTok and other video-first platforms.
- Ideate, produce, edit, and publish content to captivate target audience in line with brand objectives.
- Implement a tangible and consistent process to keep up with social trends, channel shifts, and new content strategies.
- Monitor, engage with, and expand our online community through prompt responses to comments and messages.
- Assist Social Media Specialist with influencer partnerships to execute various campaigns for growth and promotions.
- Coordinate with the Social Media Manager to track and analyze platform-specific KPIs, measuring the success of content and campaigns.
- Develop content reports with metrics for future campaign strategy.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be willing to be filmed on camera.
- Must be willing to submit social handles, a portfolio of previous work or relevant design, creative, or video work.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms and a natural understanding for creating captivating content.
- Strong writing skills and knowledge of what type of copy works for each social platform.
- Possess a natural ability to create projects from team KPIs, organize to do lists for the day, and is comfortable with a ‘Google-first’ mentality.
- Somewhat proficient in video editing. This person does not need to be a designer but knows their way around creating clips with previously shot content using TikTok or CapCut app.
- Strong ability to repurpose content at scale using various tools.
- A team player looking to grow beyond social and learn e-commerce more broadly.

Education and Experience:
- Undergraduate or graduate student with relevant work experience and/or coursework in marketing, communications, social media, digital media, design or related field.
Additional Details & Benefits:
- 10-15 week internship, up to 30 hours per week.
- Internship is a paid position and can be used for course credit.
- Chosen candidate must be willing to commute to downtown St. Pete to work with the social media team in person Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays around school schedule.
