As the Associate of Merchant Demand Generation, you will play a crucial role in expanding the merchant supply on the Grubhub platform by targeting and acquiring the most valuable merchants at scale through various marketing channels. Working closely with both inbound and outbound sales teams, you will leverage marketing strategies to drive and enhance merchant sales initiatives. You’ll also drive the strategy on how we demonstrate the value of partnering with Grubhub, a marketplace that connects local businesses to millions of customers in over 4,000 U.S. cities, to new merchants.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in B2B marketing or related area, with a focus demand or lead generation
- Bachelor's degree required
- Strong understanding of sales principles and B2B marketing channels and strategies
- Proficient in digital marketing tools and platforms, including Salesforce and Account Engagement (Pardot) or similar platforms
- Ability to creatively solve problems and find new ways to reach and engage target audiences.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale marketing campaigns and achieving significant growth targets

- Experience managing external vendors or agencies
- Experience using other demand generation or digital marketing tools (e.g. e-gifting and sales enablement platforms)
- Experience working on B2B marketing in a two-sided marketplace
The Impact You Will Make:
- Develop and execute scalable merchant acquisition strategies to rapidly expand Grubhub’s quality merchant base. Channels might include paid media, SEO, email, content and e-gifting.
- Create sales value propositions and manage development of compelling materials such as one pagers, datasheets, testimonials, and email templates that align with the prospect’s journey.
- Collaborate with sales teams to ensure that all marketing efforts are well-coordinated with sales initiatives and that tools and materials are scaled appropriately to support a high volume of sales activities.
- Analyze campaign performance and market data to refine approaches and increase the effectiveness of acquisition efforts.
- Utilize and manage marketing automation and demand generation tools to streamline marketing processes, improve interaction tracking and ensure programs are effectively integrated into the sales process
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline merchant acquisition, reduce cycle times, and enhance the overall program efficiency
NY Salary Range: $70,500-$105,500
The Base Pay component of our Total Rewards package is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to: job responsibilities, location, experience and, education/certifications. In addition to the pay component, this role may be eligible for equity and benefits as part of the Total Rewards package. The Total Rewards package will be determined at the time a contingent offer is made.
