The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management and to help promote the work performance and well-being of employees. Partner with various stakeholders to deliver value-added service that ensure the workforce remains motivated and aligned to support the overall mission of the organization. Carry out a variety of responsibilities related to employee relations, onboarding and training, and policy implementation. What you will do: Support the leadership team of assigned departments and or business units acting as an advisor and consult on HR and business matters in partnership with the management team Analyzes data, trends and metrics in partnership with HR team to develop solutions, programs, and policies Partner with HR Team to deploy the Talent Strategy supporting the succession planning process; generating reports, facilitates talent management meetings, develops succession plans; maintain organizational commitment Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations Identify and coordinate on-going effective learning opportunities for managers and provide performance management guidance (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs. Provide useful guidance in interpreting and evaluating policies and procedures Support organizational initiatives and communicate these initiatives as necessary Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met. Assist with change management initiatives, organizational communication, and serve as liaison for HR team as needed. Understand HR services and effectively direct the business Participate and support HR activities. Other duties may be assigned. What you will need: Education Bachelor’s degree in areas such as Human Resources, Organizational Development, Leadership development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field preferred. Master's Degree Graduate degree preferred. Experience Coaching and influencing business strategy Coaching, training and leading senior level leaders and employees in the business unit Setting and Implement talent strategies and solutions Implement Change Management Initiatives Influencing and managing complex employee relations and resolving conflict Planning, making decisions, working independently and under pressure Organizing, prioritizing, planning and leading projects Required Skills/Abilities Excellent written and verbal communication Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Competency in persuading and negotiating Maintaining highly confidential information Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to acquire understanding of organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and other HR practices Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of Southern Baptist structure and polity Working knowledge of compensation, benefits, training and other HR practices and services Working knowledge of federal laws (i.e. ADAA, FMLA, EEOC and any other applicable laws) Technical skills in HR system and MS Office Licenses/Certifications PHR, SPHR, or Strategic HR Business Partner Certifications preferred #LI-Hybrid #LI-AB1 Who We Are GuideStone is a diversified Christian financial services provider, offering retirement, insurance, investment management, property and casualty coverage, and executive planning products and services to the Southern Baptist and wider evangelical Christian community.
