POSITION OVERVIEW:
- Develop and execute personnel procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations.
- Participate in the development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and ongoing reports for company requirements.
- Administer benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs.
- Suggest new procedures and policies to improve employee experience and HR department efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with local and national regulations and employment laws, updating policies and procedures as necessary.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare paperwork and schedules for a seamless new-hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to ensure an exceptional first-day experience.
- Handle all administrative tasks related to onboarding, new-hire orientations, and exit interviews, including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS) and conducting audits for accuracy and compliance.
- Provide a dedicated and effective HR advisory service to employees, addressing issues related to absence, health, conduct, capability, grievances, organizational change, and other employee-relations matters.
- Serve as the primary backup for payroll processing, handling biweekly and semimonthly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, vacation/sick pay, expense reimbursements, hourly-employee validations, and benefits changes.
- Assist in the communication, interpretation, and maintenance of the employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contribute to policy development.
- Will support all Graves Foods locations in Jefferson City, Chillicothe, & Jefferson City.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years of human resources generalist experience within a large organization.
- Previous internal payroll processing experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong ethics and cultural awareness.
- Aptitude for problem-solving and a thorough understanding of HR procedures and policies.
- Prior experience with payroll systems and knowledge of ADP software
- Advanced knowledge of HRIS and the ability to learn new technical systems as needed.
- Familiarity with national employment laws and regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in human resources, business, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven success in working within an HR department.
- Resourceful mindset with strong attention to detail.
COMPENSATION: (Depending on experience)- $60,000- $75,0000 / yearly salary
