GSG Protective Services is looking for Full-Time Response Officers in the El Monte /Los Angeles, CA area. Qualified candidates will have a professional appearance and demeanor. The occupant of this job is expected to assist GSG Protective Services in achieving its vision and mission of customer satisfaction.

Position Summary: Response Officer will be assigned to different sites with a wide variety of duties to include covering patrols for last-minute call-offs. Must have full flexible availability of at least 5 days a week, 24/7.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assume overall responsibility for the safety and security of designated areas

• Patrol designated areas in accordance with outlined security procedures

• Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly

• Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents

• Ensure all employees and visitors have proper credentials for accessing buildings (ID badges and passes)

• Respond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly and according to policy

• Assist employees and visitors with any concerns they might have

• Escalate emergency situations to law enforcement as needed

• Monitor alarms and security cameras

• Maintain assigned equipment and assigned vehicle during assigned shift

• Operate assigned company vehicle throughout assigned shift

• Perform all post specific instructions to ensure execution of customer request/s

• Practice all safety rules and procedures, always, as established by GSG Protective Services to ensure a safe and healthy work environment

• Report all activities, incidents, and observations made while on duty

• Respond to active alarms, and immediately notify emergency response personnel and or dispatch center

• Respond to calls for assistance as directed by GSOC (Global Security Operations Center).

• Train new officers on post duties as needed and or when instructed by GSG Protective services

• Additional essential duties will be defined in the Post Orders of the specific post for which the Rover is assigned

• Additional tasks duties will be assigned as necessary by GSG Protective Services

Requirements

The Response Officer position has the following requirements:

• Must have full flexible availability of at least 5 days a week, 24/7.

• Must be able to obtain Drivers Authorization up to a vehicle with a clean driving record and be 24 years of age (a waiver may be requested in certain circumstances)

• Must not have any medical restrictions related to standing, walking, sitting, or lifting up to 25 lbs.

• Must have excellent communication and customer service skills and must be able to work at all accounts, including public-facing accounts.

• Must have 2 years of experience in the military, security, or related work.

• Must have reliable transportation.

Special Requirement

• Occupants must maintain valid registration as a security guard throughout employment.

• Maintain a valid driver's license in good standing and continue to meet all requirements of the GSG Driver Authorization Policy.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Associates Degree or higher

• 2 years of experience in the military, security, or related work
