What are the responsibilities and job description for the Response Officer position at GSG Protective Services?
GSG Protective Services is looking for Full-Time Response Officers in the Chatsworth / Sylmar, CA area. Qualified candidates will assist in the entertainment division and have a professional appearance and demeanor.
Position Summary: Response Officer will be assigned to different sites with a wide variety of duties to include covering patrols for last-minute call-offs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assume overall responsibility for the safety and security of designated areas
- Patrol designated areas in accordance with outlined security procedures
- Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly
- Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents
- Ensure all employees and visitors have proper credentials for accessing buildings (ID badges and passes)
- Respond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly and according to policy
- Assist employees and visitors with any concerns they might have
- Escalate emergency situations to law enforcement as needed
- Monitor alarms and security cameras
- Maintain assigned equipment and assigned vehicle during assigned shift
- Operate assigned company vehicle throughout assigned shift
- Perform all post specific instructions to ensure execution of customer request/s
- Practice all safety rules and procedures, always, as established by GSG Protective Services to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
- Report all activities, incidents, and observations made while on duty
- Respond to active alarms, and immediately notify emergency response personnel and or dispatch center
- Respond to calls for assistance as directed by GSOC (Global Security Operations Center).
- Train new officers on post duties as needed and or when instructed by GSG Protective services
- Additional essential duties will be defined in the Post Orders of the specific post for which the Rover is assigned
- Additional tasks duties will be assigned as necessary by GSG Protective Services
Job Requirements:
- Must have full flexible availability of at least 5 days a week, 24/7
- Must not have any medical restrictions related to standing, walking, sitting, or lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills and must be able to work at all accounts, including public-facing accounts
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be vaccinated
Special Requirement:
- Occupants must maintain valid Guard Card
- Maintain a valid driver's license in good standing
Grooming Standards:
- Applicants are expected to dress in a clean and neat businesslike manner
- Applicants shall not have any scent/odor of any cannabis products on themselves or their clothing.
- Applicants shall not wear body piercing located on the face or visible on the body. All employees are to be well-groomed and clean shaven. Non-natural hair coloring is not permitted.
Preferred Experience (not required):
- 2 years of experience in the military, security, or related work
