What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Business Partner position at GSK?

HR Business Partner aligned to support NA QSC above site leaders to deliver high quality standardized HR interventions across a range of HR activities included in the NA QSC people agenda (Talent, Leadership, Culture and Capability). This role will be primarily focused on QSC LT work as a member of the in country HR team and will work with other areas of HR to deliver effective HR solutions (which may include Employee Relations, Immigration and Inclusion and Diversity work) .
Key Responsibilities:
HR Business Strategy & Partnering
- Shape the site strategy through an understanding of the business, its drivers, concerns & requirements, and providing insight into the people impacts
- Define, develop and deliver the HR Strategy/HR agenda based on organizational needs, business challenges & key metrics
- Adapt HR initiatives based on customer insight and “fit”
Succession Planning and Talent Management & Capability Building
- Strategic Workforce planning – ensure proactive and future-oriented planning on size, structure, and capabilities of the organization
- Highlight future capability gaps and facilitate solutions, utilizing HR expertise
- Understand site talent needs and identify talent issues before they impact the site
- Apply strategic reward and solutions to attract and retain critical talent
Change Management
- Drive site change management initiatives
- Leadership Development and Coaching
- Provide ongoing coaching on leadership style to site leadership
- Develop Leadership capabilities to ensure current and future business needs are met
- Ensure site leaders are equipped & able to deliver on their people management responsibilities
Organizational Design and Development
- Identify/drive improvements in organizational efficiency & effectiveness, and challenge conventional business thinking
- Support site leadership in defining and executing people plans and driving a transformational people agenda
Cultural Development
- Develop a people & culture agenda which underpins and supports the delivery of the site goals and drives employee engagement
- Work through site leadership to manage the climate and engagement within the business.

Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
- Supervisory and project management experience
- 5 to 7 years of HR leader experience
- Travel Required: Yes – up to 10% Domestic
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters or advanced degree
- HR Business Partnering and/or supporting a manufacturing site
- Advocate of HR strategy, policies and processes
- Strong leadership skills, business acumen and customer orientation
- Proven track record to build, align and execute a sustainable HR agenda that fuels business performance and organizational development – including building teams, driving talent and building capabilities for customers
- Achieving results through others: builds effective relationships in a complex matrix environment, ensures that HR agenda is supported and executed by relevant stakeholders, such as HR Operations, Centers of Excellence, Area Leadership Team, cross-functional teams etc.
- Sound experience of being a key driver of change management initiatives, culture development and engagement programs
- Excellent Interpersonal, communication, problem solving and influencing skills
- Demonstrated analytical skills and experience of working with digital tools and data
- HR functional knowledge, including Talent Management, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & OD
- High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality at all levels
- Accountability for achievement: sets high standards; delivers promised results; makes timely decisions with sound judgment; takes initiative and is persistent
- Sense of urgency: meets challenging goals and timelines; quickly changes plans when data or actions require it
