Job Title: Inventory Allocation Manager
As an Inventory Allocation Manager, your primary responsibility is to lead a team of Allocators that will optimize product inventory across our retail stores to ensure optimal product availability, maximize sales, and minimize stock-outs. You will work closely with the merchandising, planning, supply chain, and store operations teams to develop and implement allocation strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives. Your role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manages and leads a group of store inventory allocators while developing this group to become future leaders.
- Regularly reviews inventory levels across stores, identifying imbalances, slow-moving and excess inventory. Collaborate with the planning and merchandising teams to develop strategies for inventory optimization and minimize stock-outs.
- Communicates scarcity or abundance of incoming goods with the merchandise planning team to ensure corrections are made during the ordering process.
- Influences decision making by leveraging exception reports and analytics tools that will optimize inventory targets including min/max, service level targets, lead times, reorder intervals, and other levers
- Utilizes various retail analytics tools and systems to generate reports and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, in-stock rates, inventory imbalances, stock levels, sell-through rates, and inventory turnover. Present findings and recommendations to management regularly.
- Reviews store-SKU item targets or OTLs (Order-up-To-Levels) to ensure they reflect a high optimization of inventory.
- Partners with the Merchandise Planners and Category Managers to prioritize allocation of new product introductions (NPIs) and key product for our promotions and events.
- Plans and execute Q4 holiday allocation strategy for high unit lift product to ensure sales and sell-through are maximized for that key period.
- Ensures timely and accurate execution in support of New Store openings.
- Ensures team meets or exceeds expected allocation SLA guidelines to allocate inbound ASNs prior to DC arrival to optimize DC receipt flow and cross-dock and continuously improves auto-allocation opportunities.
- Partners cross-functionally with merchandise planning, merchant, supply chain, and store operations teams.
- Works with Logistics and Distribution Center partners to resolve external constraints that impact inventory flow across the supply chain.
- Visits local stores to review presentation, stock content and levels; identifies issues and solicits suggestions to respective teams.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business, Merchandising/ Supply Chain OR 4 years of relevant work experience.
- 4 years of relevant work experience.
- 2 years of experience leading others.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and manipulate large sets of data.
- Proficiency in using retail analytics tools, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Pay Rate: $84,625- $109.400 / annually depending on background and experience.
