Description
SUMMARY
The Warehouse Manager must be self- motivated, maintain and process the warehouse inventory and donations received from customers in a safe, orderly fashion. The warehouse must be kept in order, neat and clean.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain warehouse –to be kept neat, orderly and safe. Cleaning floors daily.
- Assist customers bringing donations to the receiving area.
- Excellent customer service is expected; courteous interactions with customers and donors.
- Ensure customers receive donation slips when merchandise is donated.
- Stock donations in proper areas in the warehouse after sorted.
- Test merchandise to make sure it is in working order.
- Process, clean, make necessary repairs, price and move furniture to showrooms. Staging showrooms to comply with fire codes.
- Holiday bins stored neatly and taken to storage unit when deemed.
- Housekeeping chores to include but not limited to store floors, lights, bathrooms, kitchen, trash.
- Be aware of dated merchandise- remove/replace after 90 days.
- Assist with pricing merchandise and directing volunteers on warehouse pricing needs
- Pick up donations with the company truck as needed.
- Work closely with partner moving company; receiving, staging and/or removing furniture.
- Keep vehicles serviced and clean.
Requirements
SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Ability to count and calculate simple math operations.
- Ability to operate any equipment necessary to perform the job.
- Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Ability to organize warehouse in a safe and orderly manner.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Valid Florida State Driver’s license
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT
- Work is performed in a retail warehouse environment.
- Required to lift items up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in extreme heat at times.
- Able to perform the requirements listed above and any other task assigned.
