The Role
The Account Manager I plays a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious partner acquisition, client conversion and revenue growth objectives. Our Account Manager team onboards new partners, retains current partners, and develops innovative solutions for deepening our relationships to increase sales of our products and services. We seek a professional who will support the development of processes to identify and contact prospective partners, build relationships to generate future sales and repeat business. In this role, you will assess our partner and customer needs and suggest appropriate innovation to our process and services to support their needs. You must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, working with, and educating partners, generating referrals, qualifying prospects, and working closely with consultants to close sales. The successful candidate will possess a strong need to win and be able to demonstrate that they are responsive, adaptable, and 100% results- and ownership-oriented.
Essential Functions
- Successfully generate a consistent pipeline, achieve growth, and hit sales targets by leveraging existing relationships and creating new relationships
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
- Develop new partner relationships and maintain existing accounts
- Drive sales in assigned territory and expand brand awareness
- Work with business development to onboard new partners and set them up for long term growth
- Professionally represent the company at events and conferences
- Provide feedback from the field to sales management about market dynamics and product performance
- Utilize virtual and face-to-face meetings to build relationships with new partners
- Ensure all leads are well qualified
- Maintain long-lasting relationships with existing customers through exceptional after-sales service
- Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales consultants for further development and closure
- Showcase the company’s strengths and highlight our brand by talking evangelizing the characteristics that make our offerings unique
- Participate in weekly meetings to discuss benchmarks and personal as well as team goals for the upcoming week
- Work with marketing on partner facing messaging, webinars and other territory marketing needs
- Maintain an organized workspace and properly file documents, updates, and product information so it is readily accessible for reference and to answer questions
- Make accurate data input into CRM a focus
- Interact with weekly, monthly and/or quarterly reports analyzing successes and opportunities
Additional Functions
- May be required to travel up to 40% Represent Guidant in a professional manner in accordance with company values
- Participate in ongoing training and education, provided by Guidant, to improve sales skills.

Requirements
Job Specifications
- 3-5 years’ sales experience with 2-3 years’ experience working in relationship sales with repeat clients
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, finance or related major preferred
- Strong command of all Microsoft Office applications
- Highly organized and detail orientated multi-tasker who thrives in fast pace role
- Skilled communicator who can read and adapt to their audience
- Team player with an ability to roll up your sleeves and take initiative without being asked
- Ability to work in an autonomous environment where you can be a self-directed, independent worker

Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Duties are primarily performed in an office environment and require sufficient personal mobility and physical capability to permit employee to function in this environment
- Requires sitting at a desk for up to 8 hours and ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds;
