GENERAL MAINTENANCE WORKER
FLSA Status: Part-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
FTE: 0.6
Salary Range: $23/hour

This position has general maintenance responsibilities that include building, mechanical, grounds, furnishings, appliances and vehicles at office and residential properties owned and leased by the organization to ensure the safety, health, and comfort of clients and staff.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintenance services at office and residential properties.

- Work with the Space Services Manager (SSM) to ensure all office properties have up-to-date comprehensive Preventative Maintenance Plans.
- Conduct monthly maintenance checks, and specified safety inspections, of all office properties.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled and maintain written records of these activities.
- Complete all work orders for office repairs and improvements in a timely manner. Work with the SSM to coordinate larger improvement projects that may include the use of outside contractors.
- In conjunction with the SSM, prioritize jobs and coordinate work scheduling with on-site staff.
- Maintain accurate financial records and submit timely reports for all maintenance expenses. Confer with the SSM before incurring expenses that exceed purchasing guidelines.
- Ensure that all property inspection reports from regulatory agencies (city, county, state, etc.) are adhered to.
- Participate in annual assessment of capital improvement needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
2. Vehicle Maintenance

- Conduct and document monthly vehicle inspections.
- Troubleshoot vehicle problems reported by on-site staff.
- Help facilitate scheduled maintenance and necessary repair of the organization’s vehicles.
Qualifications
- Post high school education in maintenance or related field or 5 years “hands-on” experience in all facets of property maintenance or related field.
Additional Requirements
- A valid Class D Driver's License, reliable vehicle, satisfactory driving record and necessary insurance.
- Occasionally work in confined spaces, lift and carry heavy weights that could be up to or even exceed 50 lbs. (e.g. moving office furnishing etc.), work overhead on and off a ladder, and climb stairs repeatedly.
- Must not be actively receiving services from Guild and must not have received services within the last two years.
