What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Technical Program Manager position at Gusto?
Gusto is looking for a Security Technical Program Manager to help support the greater Security/IT Departments in their collective efforts to proactively secure sensitive data, mitigate business risks and partner with other Gusto teams (such as EPD & Legal) on Security/IT related initiatives.
Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day
- Program Management
Create and maintain a standard method to plan, organize and provide visibility into the Security/IT Department work so that all department members approach work in a similar fashion.
- Maintain, & manage all Pillars of The Program for Security/IT.
- TPMs have a clear and concise method for planning and maintaining projects in Confluence
- TPMs regularly provide hands on support to Security teams to ensure projects are tracked in Jira
Additional supporting tasks:
- Program Office hours
- Program Monthly Newsletters
- Program Readouts (BASSists, Metrics, FY Planning)
- On-going JIRA project maintenance (Software ServiceDesk)
Program On-boarding
Educate and support their respective Security/IT teams in using the program.
- TPMs conduct live training sessions that steps through the creation and maintenance of a new project from a user perspective
- TPMs respond to teams are that blocked in applying the method
- TPMs are embedded within their respective teams to assist with reporting overall status and maintaining project metrics
Critical Project Management
Act as a dedicated and expert project manager for complex or critical work to deliver a project successfully.
- TPMs help organize cross departmental teams in completing the project successfully.
- TPMs create and help maintain project artifacts use to drive the project to completion such as presentations, special metrics.
- TPMs advocate for projects in respect to gaps and patterns that are hindering the teams productivity and ability to complete projects successfully.
Professional Services
Provide a variety of Professional Services to all Teams / Individuals that makeup the Gusto ecosystem.
