What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager/Health Scientist position at GZA?
GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA) is looking for a Project Manager/Health Scientist with a background in toxicology, epidemiology, industrial hygiene, biostatistics, or public health fields to join our technical practice in Boulder, Colorado.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage time-sensitive projects for a variety of clients, maintain and deepen excellent client relationships while developing an understanding of client needs and process improvements that facilitate our growing relationships
- Project management responsibilities including budgeting and tracking project financials, invoice review and approval, scoping project strategic plans, maintaining a flow of critical information with the principal-in-charge, managing project team member tasks, and keeping tasks on schedule.
- Efficiently synthesize and extract scientific information and assist with writing, editing, and producing technical reports, products, presentations, and proposals
- Critically evaluate and summarize scientific literature on environmental and occupational health topics
- Assist with the preparation of work products, including quantitative exposure and risk assessments, with minimal oversight
- Participate in business development initiatives by contributing to presentations, peer-reviewed and non-peer reviewed articles (e.g., trade association publications) and various research efforts

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a public health-related field and at least 7-10 years of experience working in the field of consulting and/or risk assessment
- Understanding of the consulting business and technical expertise in specific areas of risk assessment, toxicology, and/or exposure assessment
- Ability to analyze scientific literature and data and prepare quantitative exposure and risk assessments
- Established publication record of with at least 2-5 publications as a primary or contributing author
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite; to include but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience with the EndNote reference manager software preferred, but not required

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000 depending on experience and capabilities which will be assessed during the interview process.
