What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recruiter position at H&M Trucking?
Summary: The Recruiter’s primary role is to sell H&M to new drivers and attract safe, service orientated driving professionals. As a recruiter you will pro-actively recruit, screen and hire qualified drivers for H&M Trucking in approved geographic regions and in accordance with company guidelines, DOT regulations and Federal and State Employment Laws.
Essential Functions (with or without reasonable accommodation)
- Source driver leads and contact potential candidates via phone, social media, or email to establish contact and begin building a rapport to develop a continuous pipeline of new drivers.
- Sell H&M Trucking by being a positive “first contact” and company advocate by accurately and professionally expressing the opportunities and benefits of driving for
H&M and well as articulate the pay per mile, bonus structure, benefits and equipment driven.
- Respond to incoming leads during off hours or peak demand, to include nights and weekends.
- Conduct interviews via phone or in person and guide candidate in screening process to determine eligibility using the H&M’s hiring standard criteria.
- Coordinate with the safety department to complete pre-employment screening process.
- Maintain/update applicant database for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Demonstrate confidential standards while handling personal information.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of office programs including, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel),
Adobe Acrobat and the ability to learn other programs as assigned.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work and make decisions based on established procedures.
- Ability to establish working relationships with co-workers and management and maintain them over time.
- Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to speak in front of groups.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
- Ability to support and enforce the safety needs of the organization.
Physical and Environmental Demands
- Work is performed in an office setting.
- Employee is expected to occasionally stand or sit, walk, use hands to fingers, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. Employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear.
- Employee will need to hear and understand voices at normal conversation levels.
Education, Training, License, Certification and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Tech Savvy
- Successful Recruiting, or Customer Service experience or proven Direct Sales
experience
- Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the knowledge skills and ability to perform the above described duties will be considered.
