H & R Agri-Power a well-known and respected agriculture equipment dealer with locations in Western KY, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Southern IL & Indiana is seeking a Parts Associate for the Tanner, AL location. We are looking for an applicant with abilities to complete the following tasks:
- Read catalogs, microfiche viewers, or computer displays in order to determine replacement part stock numbers and prices.
- Responsible for assisting customers with farm implement parts over the phone as well as in person.
- Determine replacement parts required, according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, or customers' descriptions of malfunctions.
- Receive and fill telephone orders for parts.
- Fill customer orders from stock.
- Prepare sales slips or sales contracts.
- Receive payment or obtain credit authorization.
- Take inventory of stock.
- Advise customers on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available.
- Examine returned parts for defects, and exchange defective parts or refund money.
- Mark and store parts in stockrooms according to prearranged systems.
Qualifications
Applicants should preferably have retail or parts counter experience. They should have good communication skills, customer service skills and have a strong work ethic. Basic computer skills are required.
