Job Description:
As a Desktop IT Personnel, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintaining the functionality of desktop systems and related hardware within our organization. Your primary role will be to ensure that end-users have efficient access to IT resources, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and perform regular system maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide on-site support for desktop hardware, software, and peripheral devices. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.
- User Assistance: Assist end-users with IT-related inquiries, including software installations, system configurations, and user account management.
- System Maintenance: Perform regular updates and patches to operating systems and applications. Ensure all systems are compliant with company policies and security standards.
- Hardware Management: Diagnose and repair desktop hardware issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals. Coordinate with vendors for hardware replacements or repairs when necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of support requests, resolutions, and IT asset inventories. Document and update technical procedures and knowledge base articles.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to address complex issues and contribute to the development of IT policies and procedures.
- Training: Provide basic training and guidance to end-users on new technologies and best practices for IT security and efficiency.
