H2 Performance Consulting (H2), a high-growth, technology-enablement firm, is currently seeking a Data Analyst to support our government client in Patuxent River, MD. The Naval Aviation Data Analyst will support the NAE through the development of analytical products and practices that create measurable improvements for processes and decisions support naval aviation, to include decision aides, requirements and policy development. The NAE Data Analyst will advise on data handling best practices and submit policy recommendations and/or requirements as appropriate. The goal for this position will be to support identification of key improvements to processes that maximize NAE operational readiness and to support literacy of analytical processes and tools for the NAE to support standardization of analysis across NAE enterprise.

Job Description

• Analyzes business or operating procedures to devise the most efficient method of accomplishing the work. This includes:
• Plans the study of work problems and procedures, gathers and analyzes data, organizes and documents findings of studies, and prepares recommendations for implementing new systems, procedures, or organizational changes.
• Collates information into meaningful reports and presentation material.
• Performs data management of database tables, data elements, reports, and other entities contained in reporting systems.
• Analyzes project requirements including program scheduling, critical path analyses and project support/resource requirement determination.
• Fully participates in impact studies, cost/benefit analyses, dependency models, and employs appropriate project tracking methodologies.
• Capable of conducting root-cause, corrective action analysis.
• Possess a working knowledge of statistics and is able to assess correlation.
• Able to produce visualizations to communicate findings through the use of tables and charts.
• Proficient with one of the following, Tableau, Qlik, or PowerBI, and familiar enough to produce basic charts in the others.

Basic Qualifications:

• A Journeyman level person has 3 to 15 years of experience and a BA/BS degree in a related field.
• 6 years additional work experience in a related field may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree OR Associate’s Degree plus 4 years additional work experience in a related field may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.
• 3 years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining, and statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis
• Ability to use Python, R, SQL, statistical methods, visualization development such as Tableau, Qlik, and Power BI, and PowerApps
• Experience developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualization of targeted data sources
• Knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, or natural language processing
• Ability to provide the enterprise with actionable and sustainable analytic products that enable data-supported decision aides, requirements, and policy
• Ability to identify and establish data handling best practices, submit policy, and make requirements recommendations as appropriate
• Ability to prioritize gaps in analytical products to maximize readiness outcomes, achieving common goals
