What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drafter position at H2O Innovation USA?
THE POSITION
The Drafter will hold a permanent & full-time position and will work for the Maple division at our Swanton, VT manufacturing plant under the supervision of the Director of Engineering.
THE DAY-TO-DAY
- Participate in the mechanical drawings of sugar bush equipment; evaporator, concentrator, extractor, etc. ;
- The design (3D and 2D) of the drawings and initiate the production ;
- Update of production documentation (technical drawings, installation drawings, structure of options);
- Manage and update the material list in our drawing software;
- Search and update and maintain any specifications of technical documentation;
- Create drawings for non-standard submissions;
- Participate in various engineering and production meetings;
- Perform any other related duties related to this position.
THE SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- High school diploma or Associate equivalent with a minimum 2 years of experience as a Drafter preferably working in a manufacturing environment;
- Experience with Inventor, Vault, Autocad drawing softwares;
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals;
- Practical experience and knowledge of pumping systems and piping, sheet metal manufacturing processes, mechanically welded, considered an asset;
- Knowledge of the maple industry, an asset;
