OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION
Manages and develops sales activities within a district.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION – SALES:
- Broad functional experience in areas of strategic planning, sales, marketing, market development, planning, and promotions.
- Possible focus on one or more of the following; Strategic Industry Segments, Industrial, Conveying, Material Handling, Food Processing, Paper Converting and Automotive.
- Build and maintain the image and reputation of Habasit products as a strong and effective supplier of belting products.
- Ensure effective sales and business development plans are consistent with the strategic direction.
- Review customer’s performance and design specifications and prepare quotes.
- Provide sales & technical support to Habasit personnel and customers.
- Manage customer contacts, meetings and sales processes through using Habasit's CRM application.
- Attend training seminars in North America and Europe to develop knowledge of new products and applications.
- Develop profitable new market applications.
- Request and justify product-upgrade programs and new product requirements.
- Assume the leadership role in justification and direction of new product/market development programs.
- Appraise competitive product advantages and disadvantages.
- Develop product performance parameters for market requirements for product line additions or deletions.
- Develop short term and long-term business plans to determine inventory levels, new product requirements, advertising requirements and sales literature needs.
- Be able to discern the requirement for product application engineering at the company and customer level.
- Assist in the development of a “Competitor Database” that will include samples, key performance features, strengths, and weaknesses.
- Interface with Manufacturing to investigate/suggest new equipment, tooling, and/or techniques to streamline and improve process.
- Sales and Customer Support for Target Accounts – includes direct calls on OEM’s and large end users
COMPETENCIES/SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING PREFERRED:

- Preferred - Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Related Field
- Required - 3 years experience in sales and/or marketing of industrial sales directly to Distribution, End Users and OEM’s
- Required – Fluency in English and French. Written and spoken
- Preferred - High Competency with technical, marketing and customer service issues relevant to Conveyor and conveying systems
- Required – High Competency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM / ERP Applications
- Preferred - Experience in Marketing and selling engineered products in a multiple level environment
