PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Shipping Coordinator II prepares outgoing shipments and receives incoming shipments to/from customers and vendors with an high level of accuracy and quality.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (specific duties may vary by location)
Prepare outgoing shipments according to standard processes (which may include completing paperwork and creating labels) and coordinate with a variety of shipping companies
Perform appropriate quality check on parts being packed and order completeness
Receive incoming shipments from existing customers and/or vendors, label equipment with identifying information, and deliver equipment and paperwork to correct locations
Comply with all regulatory requirements, including export compliance and EHS standards
Recognizing and escalating problems - driving long term sustainable solutions
Maintain a safe, clean organized and efficient work area
Work off-shift/overtime, as needed, to support department and meet deadlines
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years of Shipping and Receiving Experience, which includes but not limited to:
Packaging techniques for fragile electronic instrumentation
Coordinating both domestic and international shipments with carriers and freight forwarders - including working knowledge of Shipping Manager software for UPS, Fed-Ex and DHL
Knowledge of Import/Export compliance preferred
Knowledge of shipping dangerous good preferred (lithium batteries)
Must have a valid driver’s license and a good motor vehicle driving record (operation of company vehicles)
Familiarity with the use of hand and power tools
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
One (1) year experience Shipping and Receiving in manufacturing using ERP software (SAP, ORACLE, or equivalent)
Knowledge of Import and Export Compliance
Knowledge of shipping dangerous goods (mainly lithium batteries)
Basic understanding of Lean concepts and the ability to support continuous improvement
Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform, follow and help develop Standard Work
