About Hackney Nursery
We are a family owned and operated wholesale nursery with customers throughout the southeast. Our goal is to produce a consistence and quality product with a customer service approach to shipping.
Overview of the Role
We are looking for someone who can perform general office duties in a timely and organized manor, and help with some customer service.
Responsibilities
- Answering Phones and directing customers calls.
- Handling accounts receivable and making bank deposits.
- Work with our accountant and operate QuickBooks.
- Create and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Preform HR task related to Insurance and Workmens Comp.
- Handle paperwork for the H2A immigrant program and also new hires.
- Operating in our computer system to manage our plant inventory.
Location & Commitments
- Permanent full time position working Monday – Friday 40 hours per week.
- Working out of our office.
- Weekend work would not be common but may be asked during peak season (March – June).
Requirements
- Have experience and be skilled in computer programs (Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Be able to learn and operate our computer system.
- Be outspoken, polite, and welcoming when answering phones and interacting with people.
- Be organized with attenti0on to detail and a strong work ethic.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
