Shift Manager
Summary
The restaurant Shift Managers are trained to execute all of the duties performed by the team members. Shift Managers have additional responsibility for directing daily operations of the restaurant when the General Manager and Assistant Manager are absent. They ensure compliance with the company standards in all aspects of the operation including food preparation, guest relations, restaurant maintenance, and team management and other duties as required or assigned.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations by training, coaching, and developing restaurant team members.
- Follow cash handling procedures, maintaining inventory, and labor management.
- Assists in recruiting and interviewing A-Grade Team Members, conducts routine performance reviews, takes disciplinary action, and motivates team.
- Ensures a safe work and guest environment by facilitating safe work behaviors amongst the team.
- Maintain quick-accurate service, positive guest relations, and ensures quality of products sold are consistent with company quality standards.
Required Qualification Guidelines:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a food service or retail environment
- Excellent written, verbal, and group communication skills.
Physical Demands
This position will require long periods of standing on hard surfaces and warm temperatures. There is also likely to be extensive lifting up to 50 pounds of supplies, materials, and food. The use of hands and arms to reach for, grasp, and manipulate objects as needed. There will be exposure to hot equipment and oil constantly throughout the work day.
