What are the responsibilities and job description for the Attorney I position at Halff?
- Conduct legal research an analysis on a variety of issues.
- Draft legal documents, memoranda and correspondence.
- Assist in Halff's effort to implement and utilize contract generation software to automate the contract lifecycle management process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on a variety of projects.
- Draft, review and analyze a variety of contracts and provide reasoned feedback in line with Halff's risk tolerance and applicable compliance requirements under the direction of Halff's General Counsel.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external parties to negotiate favorable terms and conditions, balancing legal requirements with business objectives.
- Stay current with relevant laws and regulations impacting professional services firms in general and more specifically the engineering consulting industry, providing insights and recommendations to the business units.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all contracts, amendments, and legal communications.
- Strong academic record.
- Excellent research, writing and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated interest in the AEC industry.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with relevant legal software and tools.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Plan to take and pass the bar exam in Texas or Oklahoma.
- Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
- May need to travel to various office locations.
