What are the responsibilities and job description for the Band Saw Operator - RKF position at Hallmark?
The Band Saw Operator operates band saw machine to cut meat to specification while maintaining yield, throughput, and quality standards. Individuals must be willing to work in a cold environment.
Job duties include, but not limited to:
• Operate band saw machine safely with guard in place.
• Make cost effective cutting decisions.
• Perform all duties as required by production supervisor.
• Follow FPL policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
• Band saw experience required
• Ability to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for position
• Dependable
• Required to wear all personal protective equipment
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push up to 50 pounds depending on specific function being performed
• Ability to crouch and bend repeatedly
• Ability to work with cold materials in a cold, humid environment
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Follow all safety regulations and support others in working safely
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Repetitive line work,
• Prolonged gripping, grasping, and lifting or pushing
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
