The Account Associate role is a sales-focused position that requires strength in both client management and project management. Each Account Associate will work with one or more Sales Leaders (Account Executives) on their accounts which include more than 100 of the Fortune 500. Responsibilities
- Be hungry to learn: Knowledge of the promotional products industry is essential. Be a sponge during onboarding and learn about this ever-expanding industry and its role in advertising, experiential marketing, and brand engagement. Build a foundational knowledge of various manufacturing, production and decoration methods
- Project coordination: Coordinate and execute multiple projects with varying clients, timelines, priorities, costs, and logistical complexities. Communicate project changes, order timelines and status updates to internal and external stakeholders. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quotes, orders and art proofs. Generate reports to track open orders and billing progress
- Client management: Educate and guide clients regarding the company’s order and approval processes, quality standards and production timelines
- Profitability: Understand project margin requirements and vendor pricing. Be resourceful in sourcing and quoting strategies to achieve the client’s branding approach and marketing goals while maintaining target profitability.
- Community builder: Develop an understanding of working with internal teams, including Creative, Import and Compliance, to bolster company and project value to clients. Build strong business relationships with clients, internal resources and vendors
- Clear communicator: Whether you're presenting ideas to clients or working across different teams in HALO, your ability communicate effectively over the phone, text, and email will be essential to delivering the HALO experience we promise to clients.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in a corporate marketing, related agency or project management role preferred
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of and experience with basic business math
- Detail oriented, exceptional organizational skills and the ability to deliver under deadlines with a high level of accuracy
- Strong work ethic that supports working independently, under minimal supervision as well as the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment with a dynamic range of people
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and well-reasoned judgment
- Proven ability to provide outstanding client service
- Curious, flexible and good humored with a positive “can do” attitude
- Ability to effectively provide, receive and respond positively to constructive feedback
- Willing to proactively seek out information, training and other resources needed to facilitate continual professional development necessary to be successful in this position
- Experience using Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Experience with ERP systems a plus
- Bachelor's degree (BA) in marketing, communications, business or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education
