JOB SUMMARY
Hamilton Physician Services (HPS) is a multi-subspecialty physician group practice and wholly owned subsidiary of Hamilton Medical Center, Inc., (HMC). HMC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hamilton Healthcare System, Inc. (HHCS). HPS was created as a responsive, scalable and adaptable physician enterprise to meet the long-term community need for medical specialties within the Dalton, Georgia and surrounding communities that for various reasons may not be optimally provided for or sustainable by the independent medical staff. This position will function as float staff for physician practices including primary and specialty practices.
To perform nursing duties which include providing clinical assistance to physicians in the outpatient office practice setting. Nurses are responsible for accommodating the needs of the physician by controlling patient flow, following established protocols for preparing patients in advance of the physician for exams, assisting the physician with routine procedures, coordinating patient referrals into and out of the practice for clinical care; and managing patient telephone calls related to clinical questions, test results, prescription management, and physician requested communication and have the skills necessary to implement nursing interventions if necessary.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing
Licensure: RN License in the State of Georgia, Current CPR Certification
Experience: Medical office or hospital experience.
Skills: Nursing skills as defined in the Law Governing the Practice of Nursing in Georgia.
