Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Coordinator to join our team. As the Food and Beverage Coordinator, you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of the Hamilton Trails food and beverage strategy. This includes managing the kitchen, ensuring food safety and quality, maintaining inventory control, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the food and beverage department
- Manage and coordinate food preparation and cooking activities
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the bar/restaurant
- Develop and execute-on a food delivery strategy for on course service.
- Develop and implement menus that meet customer preferences and dietary requirements
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train, supervise, and evaluate staff
- Interview, hire, and train new employees
- Create schedules for staff to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the establishment
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional manner
- Maintain a positive working relationship with vendors and suppliers
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Food and Beverage Coordinator or similar role in the restaurant industry
- Strong knowledge of food preparation
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on providing an outstanding dining experience
- Knowledge of inventory control procedures and experience managing food costs
- Familiarity with interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating employees
- Understanding of hospitality industry standards and practices
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
Schedule:
- May 1st – September 31st
- Thursday-Monday 9:00AM-6:00PM
Minimum Qualifications
- Weekend and Holiday availability (Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day)
- 1-3 years management experience
- 3-5 years server experience
- Drivers License and Vehicle
