Job Description
Performs technical procedures tat require independent judgement and initiative during the hours assigned. The EMG Technician performs nerve conduction studies on all patients referred. The EMG Technician will be able to perform exams based on patient history and proceed with completion of the exam based on patient response and any abnormalities seen on exam. Works closely with the Imaging staff, clinic staff, Neurologist, patients, and their families. Access to information is limited to minimum necessary to perform the duties of the job.
Qualifications
Completion of an approved EMG program or equivalent experience in neurosciences.
- Certification as an EMG tech.
- Current BLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
