Job Summary
The General Manager is a property leader with experience managing daily hotel operations and providing overall leadership in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver financial profitability, operational excellence and outstanding guest service. This position reports to the Regional Vice President of Operations and is responsible for the overall success of the hotel, measured by financial, operational and guest satisfaction performance targets.
Primary Responsibilities
- Leads, directs and manages all hotel operations including, but not limited to, hotel budgeting and forecasting, strategic planning, leading service initiatives, leading and managing balanced scorecard performance, implementing and complying with all company policies and standards, overseeing sales and marketing initiatives and hotel-wide meeting participation and facilitation.
- Provides supervisory direction to the Front Desk, Executive Housekeeper, Maintenance Head and other key team members, ensuring everyone understands the expectations of their roles and are adequately trained to perform at exceptional levels.
- Ensures guest satisfaction, gathering feedback, responding to inquiries and resolving concerns as necessary.
- Monitors team member performance, providing professional development, conducting performance counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and rewards as appropriate.
- Recruits, interviews and trains team members.
- Oversees service quality, operational efficiency, brand standards, compliance, QA compliance and service and financial measurements.
- Serves as primary liaison with hotel owner and corporate office team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hotel or Business Administration plus five or more years of hotel management experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager.
- Hilton experience preferred
- Exceptional operations background.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of the day; occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
