Patient Service Representative
Job Posting for Patient Service Representative at Hampton Roads Orthopaedics Spine and Sports Medicine
HROSM is seeking a FT Patient Service Representative for our busy Newport News location. Must be able to work various shifts (7:30a-4:30p/8:30a to close)
Duties will be but not limited to the following:
- Entering patient demographic information
- Verifying insurance in-network status, ensure all referrals are received
- Checking eligibility and benefits
- Collecting co-pays and balances on accounts
- Provide necessary paperwork to all incoming patients as applicable
- Scanning registration paperwork into EMR
- Scheduling appointments and printing orders
Requirements:
- 1-2 years prior registration experience in a medical office
- Must have strong working knowledge of insurances
- Experience with Eligibility and Benefit Verifications and scheduling appointments
- Experience with Office365 required
- Experience with NextGen PM (preferred but not required)
