Hana Meds is a growing Arizona based cannabis company that produces and sells Dutchie, one of the best-selling pre-roll brands in Arizona and Willie’s Reserve products. Hana is in search of a Post-Harvest Manager to be responsible for managing all aspects of post-harvest production, processes implementation (including writing SOPs), and managing post-harvest trim techs. This position is based in Chino Valley, with some travel to our Tempe Corporate office.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of post-harvest production including daily monitoring of debudding, dry room turns, and trim processes.
- Assist with SOP development and training for all post-harvest trim techs.
- Familiarity with industry specific machines and proper cleaning procedures.
- Strong hand trimming skills and ability to train all post-harvest techs on proper trim techniques while developing baselines and tracking metrics with an emphasis on continuous improvement and quality.
- Oversight on packaging of all finished bulk flower and trim.
- Assist with scheduling and managing all flower for 3rd party testing, physically and electronically.
- Responsible for prioritization, completion, and documentation of all tasks performed by the post-harvest trim techs.
- Ability to assist with initial ordering of all equipment and supplies needed and the timely reordering of all consumables.
- Perform routine inventory audits.
- Ensure that all flower and byproducts are labeled and stored properly in full compliance with state regulations and company SOPs.
- Development and upkeep of preventative maintenance schedules in order to keep the performance and cleanliness of all equipment used in optimal condition.
- Develop and perform routine QA/QC checks on flower during all phases of post-harvest production.
- Ensures consistency over all flower trimming techniques.
- Ability to collect, analyze, interpret, and present data for review frequently.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining the optimal dry room environmental conditions.
- Ability to provide effective, communicative leadership to employees and address all concerns in a timely and productive manner.
- Ensure all staff follows company SOPs and state specific regulations.
- Assist with developing and managing projects as needed.
- Ability to stay on top of production scheduling while delegating and supporting the post-harvest trim techs.
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness and organization in all post-harvest production areas including the dry and trim rooms, and upkeep of all equipment and tools used.
- Ensure the proper use of PPE by employees at all times.
- Assist in determining when the flower is ready for debudding based on proper moisture levels.
- Assist in establishing initial and ongoing training for employees to ensure an adequate level of understanding regarding guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Perform employee reviews per company guidelines.
- Ability to manage, coach, and discipline staff in a professional and respectful manner.
- Set personal and team goals based on the needs of the business to drive success and to promote inclusion.
- Ability and willingness to assist other departments on an as needed basis.
- Prepare product for transportation between sites.
Environmental and Physical Demands
- Ability to frequently move and/or lift a maximum of 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, sit, move, kneel, and/or bend for extended time periods.
- Ability to work in varying indoor environmental conditions including temperature and humidity changes.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or general education diploma.
- Bachelor's degree in related field a plus.
- Must be at least 21 years old per state regulation.
- Minimum of 2 years professional management experience in a relative field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the cannabis industry.
- Must have strong hand trimming skills and ability to teach a team to trim.
- Familiarity with Arizona compliance regulations.
- Understanding of excel and ability to draft and update spreadsheets daily.
- Subject to a state required background check.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and/or on a flexible schedule when needed.
- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team utilizing critical thinking skills.
- Ability to multi-task and have effective time management skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills are required.
- Adaptability to changing priorities in order to meet company goals.
- Follow all state and company regulations regarding cannabis cultivation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in an efficient, accurate manner.
- Familiarity with in seed-to-sale software programs for inventory and/or cannabis.
- Cannabis cultivation experience strongly preferred.
- Must obtain a Facilities Agent card (FA card), which is $300.
