POSITION TITLE: Key Carrier
REPORTS TO: Store Manager
DEPARTMENT: Direct to Consumer - Outlet Stores

Experience: An intermediate amount of retail experience preferred
(1-2 years).
Proven Sales Performance and ability to assist Store Manager in driving store team to achieve Sales Objectives
Proven background and aptitude in exceptional, individual customer service.
Education: Completion of High School.
Hours: 15-25 Hours per week (Max. 30 hours – occasional, as needed based on business coverage).
Age: Must be 18 or older
POSITION OBJECTIVE
Under direction of Store Manager lead a branded retail business that generates superior retail returns and provides America’s best brands in intimate apparel. Supervise the store team to achieve sales objectives, leading store team in all store activities, maintaining store policy and procedures, and assuming responsibility for the operations and merchandising functions of the store.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Sales Performance – Achieve store sales objectives supported by monthly promotional activities, sales training, and bra fits service.
Customer Service – Provide customers with outstanding service by training all employees on proper service techniques.
Store Operations - Supervise store personnel in all phases of store activities to ensure proper store operation. Assume responsibilities for budget control, shrink, overall operation and merchandise presentation within the store. Responsible for taking annual physical inventory.
Purchasing - Procurement of selected basic stock products to be marketed through the store with approval of Merchandise Manager.
Merchandising - Insure that all merchandise is displayed and merchandised properly, keep Merchandise
Managers informed of out-of-stock, slow sellers and problem merchandise.

GUIDELINES
The incumbent selected for this position will have management potential to be considered for Assistant
Manager positions as openings occur.
- The incumbent will work a maximum of 30 hours per week, except when covering management vacations or extended illnesses.
- The incumbent is not allowed to work power days alone (Friday & Saturday).
- The incumbent will close a maximum of two nights per week to cover management days off.
- The incumbent will not be involved in recruitment, corrective action or termination issues. However, the incumbent can assist in the interviewing process.
- As with Store Management, the Key Carrier position is part of store coverage, therefore, there will be no increase in store hours.
- The candidate for this position must be approved by the Regional Manager.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
A Key Carrier will frequently stand, walk, bend, and reach. He/she will occasionally sit, climb (ex. ladder), stoop, crouch, kneel, crawl, turn, twist, push and pull. He/she will handle things such as packages, products, and money. He/she will frequently use his/her fingers to flex and extend fingers such as running a register or using an adding machine.
Lifting - Eight percent of the objects are under twenty-five pounds, and twenty percent are twenty- five to forty-nine pounds.
Carrying - Ninety percent of the objects are under twenty-five pounds, and ten percent are twenty-five to forty-nine pounds.
Vision - Must be able to read the print on a product package, and use a monitor and keyboard. Be able to recognize physical conditions in the store (For example, aisles, walkways, storage racks, fixtures and file cabinets).
Hearing/ Speaking - Must be able to communicate by hearing/talking with a customer, or taking direction from a supervisor. Must be able to receive direction through an intercom or bell. A moderate amount of time is spent in verbal communications with other team members.

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
A Key Carrier will occasionally work with his/her hands in water, and be exposed to dust and solvents.
He/she is occasionally exposed to slippery or uneven walking surfaces. He/she works frequently in close proximity to others. He/she consistently works inside and occasionally outside.
A Key Carrier will occasionally work alone when opening a store and will occasionally drive his/her car to the bank. The Key Carrier will also occasionally be exposed to unusual fatigue factors when the Manager or Assistant Manager are out on vacation/medical leave.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
A limited amount of decision making and level of reasoning in problem solving is required. A very limited amount of time is spent in planning or scheduling activities during the day. A very minor amount of time is spent in compiling information. For example, daily cash sales, bank deposit. A Key Carrier must be able to recall information about the product and communicate that to the customer.
