Job Description: Co-Packing & Fulfillment Quality Manager (Status: Full Time)
The Co-packing & Fulfillment Quality Manager manages quality systems for Haney’s packaging and repackaging operations of both primary and secondary Food, Medical Devices, OTC drug and a variety of unregulated products for both commercial and package development applications. Applicants must thrive in a fast paced and diverse work atmosphere. Project specifications and requirements can vary greatly and require the ability to be flexible, and assess risk for each project. Applicants must be must be sensitive to company needs, customer requirements and employee goodwill while adhering to industry standards and best practices. Ability to understand processes, apply creative thinking and experience with Food Safety is a requirement of this position.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with management team to develop and administer various quality operating system plans and procedures.
- Partner with Quality Management, Client Services and Production personnel to analyze and administer product quality control procedures and processes.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and Client requirements as well as industry standards to ensure quality product.
- Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems. Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures for continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
- Manage Quality activities to ensure compliance to both client and regulatory standards for re-packaging and relabeling projects.
- Manage the development and maintenance of assigned quality systems
- Manage, train, coach, counsel and assist subordinates in the execution of their individual responsibilities.
- Establish and maintain job documentation records, required department records and reports
- Participate in administrative staff meetings, Management Review meetings and attend other meetings, internal and external, as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quality or other related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Supervisory or Management position.
- Must have the ability to make recommendation to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
- The ability to research and analyze various different types of data information.
- Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal coaching skills.
- Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
Additional Skills & Experience:
- GMP certified Training
- Food Safety Experience
Physical Demands:
- Frequent sitting and long periods of standing
- Use of computer with repetitive mouse use, keyboarding and visual demands
