Job duties:
- Provide excellent customer service by being friendly, courteous and greeting customers
- Help customers find merchandise and answer questions
- Accurately total customers merchandise at checkout and, using a cash register, complete transactions by accepting customer’s form of payment
- Follow procedures regarding the sale of alcohol and cigarettes
- Handle grocery items properly and use correct methods of bagging
- Handle customer concerns and complaints
- Use proper phone etiquette when using the intercom
- Stock and face shelves when needed
- Clean counter and register area as needed, including but not limited to: sweep, dust, clean belts/lane, etc.
- Complete any additional duties as they are assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be accurate and detail-oriented
- Able to lift 20 pounds regularly and 30 pounds occasionally
- Positive, friendly and team oriented
- Able to multitask and work in fast paced environment
- Stand for the extent of a shift
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
