Title: Commercial Construction Project Manager – Happe Commercial LLC
Reports To: Integrator – Chief Operations Officer – Happe Companies
Job Goal: The Commercial Construction Project Manager oversees all projects within Happe Commercial. This person is a member of Happe Companies team and is responsible for promoting the company mission and core values as well as ensuring that all objectives and standards are met within the commercial division.
Overall Responsibilities
Responsible for the planning, strategizing, and management of the commercial division’s construction related operations. To include working with other members of Happe Companies leadership team to exceed expectations and ensure, at a minimum, that commercial projects are completed on time and within budget
Find and secure projects as well build relationships with Architects, Engieers, and owners.
Ensure that projects are built to requirements and specifications established by construction drawings, building codes, and clients
Manage superintendents and field staff to ensure objectives and standards are met for each project
Monitor production schedules, critical paths for projects, and trade contractor schedules to ensure timely project completion
Build and set budgets per project with a high level of cost control and accuracy
Monitor project quality and cost control to safeguard profit margin
Work hand in hand with the Happe Companies CFO on developing goals, budgets, plans, and strategies to ensure efficient, effective, and profitable operations
Lead the commercial division to successful execution construction projects through development of processes and procedures that will maximize efficiency of company resources. Manage and motivate field teams
Manage field teams to meet safety, schedule, budgets, and quality standards
Explain and ensure compliance of safety program to all site personnel
Explain quality control standards and supervise their implementation
Ensure projects are built to quality standards
Strive for no-defect construction
Work with field staff to ensure that projects are inspected, job sites are maintained and safe
Develop procedures and processes for consistently meeting objectives
Keep the leadership team informed of all project progress and issues
Develop and maintain relationships with all trade partners
Ensure that trade partners are adhering to stated processes and objectives
Meet regularly with existing trade partners to ensure relationships are maintained
Develop relationships with additional trade partners as needed to maintain quality
Provide point of escalation for any client issues
Train field teams to handle majority of client issues
Respond effectively to client issues that are not resolvable by field teams
Communicate the company’s quality and performance standards to each trade contractor and supplier
Conduct periodic work inspections to ensure that those standards are met

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or similar field preferred.
Proven experience as a construction manager
In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
Good knowledge of MS Office
Good knowledge with construction/ project management software
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
