What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warranty Administrator position at Happy Daze RV's?
Happy Daze RV's Service Department is seeking a Warranty Writer who is an energetic team player and motivated to work in a busy- growing RV dealership.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in the Submission / Claiming of Manufacture Warranty Claims
- Submitting Warranty Pre-authorizations with RV manufactures
- Monitoring Warranty Unclaimed Report and following through with the service writers to make sure that unclaimed warranties do not sit on this report for any length of time.
- Responsible for following up on Paid Claims – Making sure that payments are paid in a timely fashion and applied to the work orders correctly
- Monitoring all warranty Reports with Service manager to make sure that we are being paid correctly by all manufactures for the work we are performing, ensure that the department is running effectively and efficiently, and making sure that ALL CUSTOMER CLAIMS are being submitted/followed up with correctly.
- Assisting the Warranty Administrator with meetings with Service Manager / Shop Foreman / Service Writers weekly to discuss any issues that are coming up such as Pictures on work orders, lack of information to perform job tasks effectively, Cause / Complaint / Correction issues etc.
- Going through Warranty Shortage Report Weekly to work on any shortages / wrongly applied payments or missing payments
- Reports to the Service Manager/Warranty Administrator (Also to each individual Service Writer for communications of work orders)
Qualifications:
- Commitment to excellent guest experience – on the phone/email, in the store
- RV Administration experience 1 year (Preferred)
- Must be able to read work orders, & communicate effectively
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with customers.
- Essential computer skills required
- The ability to follow department procedures and policies
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
