SUMMARY OF POSITION:
We have an immediate opening for an Email/SMS Marketing Specialist with experience building and executing Email/SMS campaigns. The ideal candidate would be an out-of-the-box creative thinker that is passionate about creating enticing content that tells a story. You will play a critical role in building and maintaining our Email and SMS marketing programs. If you possess strength for storytelling, the ability to conscientiously interpret data, and have a desire to help shape our Email and SMS marketing program, you could be just the right person for this job.
WHO YOU ARE
- You're a motivated individual with a passion to build and implement various strategies to help scale our E-commerce brands through Email / SMS marketing to hit revenue goals.
- You enjoy participating in high-level strategic discussions about digital marketing to troubleshoot why specific campaigns aren't working.
- You have a deep understanding of customer journey mapping, Email marketing strategies, and you're up to date on the newest E-commerce marketing strategies being used.

- You can drive results and work side-by-side with our marketing team to execute Email and SMS campaigns.
- You don’t mind getting your hands dirty with creating a variety of strategies for different brands, iterating, and finding out what you need to know to get to a great end result.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to think strategically, creatively, and analytically.
- Positive attitude and agile approach to your work, allowing you to pivot on a dime when necessary.
- Ability to effectively resolve problems and/or roadblocks independently as they occur, knowing when to escalate when necessary.
- Someone who is artistically inclined that has experience with graphic design and is proficient in Photoshop.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for designing, creating quality content and graphics, getting final approval, scheduling, and sending of all email & SMS campaigns.
- Ensure all campaigns are mobile-friendly and responsive in design.
- Proofread all E-mail/SMS campaigns for clarity, grammar, spelling, and ensuring all links are working properly.
- Build and execute dynamic and personalized content and campaigns.
- Build Email strategies in collaboration with our Merchandising department and Ecommerce Manager that align with our targeted audience, company values and goals to drive customer acquisitions, sales and retention.
- Working directly with General Merchandise Manager to ensure a cohesive online message, content and strategy are consistently applied to compliment the company’s overall mission and drive sales.
- Meticulously track, monitor, and report on each channel account's health and performance metrics, making recommendations to continually improve results.
- Work in close coordination with account representatives measuring performance, strategizing, and improving overall ROI per account.
- Consistently monitor, manage, and maintain all Email campaigns, making appropriate adjustments to increase ROAS to be in alignment with the company’s goals. Campaigns include but are not limited to: Welcome series, Transactional Emails, shopping cart and browser abandonment, post-purchase campaigns, weekly marketing sends, advanced segmentation, and implementing dynamic content for personalization.
- Responsible for managing and maintaining a valid and clean Email list. Perform regular list maintenance best practices like non-opener segmentation, win-back campaigns, and validation procedures.
- Establish targeting strategies based on customer lifecycle segmentation and predictive analytics.
- Developing Email marketing strategies to improve engagement, drive customer acquisition, and maximize customer retention.
- Leverage CRM and analytics platforms to support campaign execution.
- Analyze and track data to maximize the performance of Email campaigns to achieve optimum engagement, conversion, revenue, and growth goals.
- Ensure all Emails comply with best practices to ensure accurate Email tracking, deliverability, and a great customer experience.
- Staying on top of e-comm trends and adapting strategies based on what’s new.
Position Requirements:
- 2 years experience in Email/SMS marketing for e-commerce.
- Experienced in Email/SMS automation, segmentation, personalization, and A/B testing, within an omnichannel retail environment. Experience in developing and optimizing trigger and nurture campaigns.
- 1 year of experience utilizing Listrak.
- A proven track record of creating, implementing, and optimizing complex Email programs to meet business goals.
- Understanding of digital marketing principles, specifically Email marketing best practices.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Photoshop and graphic design.
- Bachelor’s degree, certification, or 2-3 years of experience working directly in marketing.
