Head of IT
Reporting to the CFO
Essential Responsibilities:
- Ability to synthesize IT requests and lead prioritization discussions across key stakeholders (e.g. – Executive Team and PE Sponsor)
- Forward Vision to determine what future Technologies or Business Requirements will need to be addressed and communicated.
- Proven ability to translate business strategy into executable technology plans
Develop a 3-year technology roadmap for the business (5%)
- Determine and implement an optimal IT organization consisting of the integration of Happy Floors and Stone Source teams
- Access the current organization, structure and capabilities and develop a clear strategy and plan for operational excellence within the IT team
- Establish an organizational and resource plan to ensure ITSM best practices and achieve SLA performance for key suppliers and the IT organization
- Assess talent and top-grade where necessary to ensure a high-performing team
- Ensure all Playbook workstreams include appropriate allocations for technology
- Represent overall strategic goals within roadmap
- Incorporate budgetary estimates into business cases and development
- Continually maintain roadmap to changing priorities of business
- Roadmap to include cyber security, privacy and financial controls
- Roadmap enterprise-wide analytics and tools for improved decision making leading to overall margin improvement
Collaborate across the businesses to identify and execute key growth initiatives (25%)
- Define IT capabilities, infrastructure, applications, and organization to deliver strategic growth initiatives
- Mitigate obstacles to future state presented by current technology platforms and resources
- Integrate expected business value from future state into technology business cases
- Identify critical functional leaders to participate in the required technology implementations to support their future organizations and goals
- Lead delivery of IT capabilities, infrastructure, applications, and organization for strategic growth initiatives
- Provide technology leadership and support ongoing M&A activities, strategies, and growth
- Continually monitor vendor and IT organizational metrics against stated service levels
Enable operational improvements across warehouses through technology implementation and resource allocation (35%)
- Ensure that current 3rd party efforts in optimizing WMS fully account for technology requirements
- Align internal and 3rd party support for WMS systems to variable needs of operations
- Build strong relationships with operational leadership to ensure future state needs are supported with proper technology
Ensure stability in IT platform to deliver on business SLA (10%)
- Develop service level agreements and success metrics with business partners
- Assess IT performance relative to SLAs, identify barriers to success, and develop plan consistently meet or succeed expectations
- Lead implementation of stability solutions
Travel:
- Travel as needed to other distribution facilities across US.
