Baker 2

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following (Other duties may be assigned):

· Baker 2 must manage multiple projects without having direct supervisory responsibilities.

· Baker 2 is responsible for plating and presentation of baked goods for various venues.

· Baker 2 must adhere to standards for plating, portioning and presentation of all items.

· Baker 2 ensures excellent quality of food and proper presentation.

· Baker 2 is responsible for timeliness of all food products.

· Baker 2 must uphold cleanliness standards for kitchen operations, kitchen equipment, and kitchen tools.

· Baker 2 must be able to decorate cakes and pastries.

· Baker 2 must be able to prepare and present plated desserts for fine dining a la carte venues.

· Baker 2 must be able to create decorative show pieces made of chocolate, sugar and other ingredients commonly found in a Bakery.

· Baker 2 must be able to scratch bake breads, cakes and other common items prepared in the Bakery.

· Perform other job related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

May manage multiple projects without having direct supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Requires a High School diploma or equivalent.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

· Ability to work a flexible schedule in a hands-on environment.

· Maintain a close working relationship with co-workers and management.

· Must obtain an Oklahoma ABLE Commission license.

· Must have the ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written forms.

· Must be able to obtain a Cherokee Nation Gaming License.

· Must have a Food Handler’s Card from Cherokee Nation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Considerable physical activity. May require handling of objects that can weigh up to 50 pounds. Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks which require following basic safety precautions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.00 - $11.20 per hour
