About the Role
Leading a dynamic global cross-functional technical team by planning, organizing, facilitating, and executing product development tasks to bring branded audio amplifiers to our customers.
What You Will Do
What You Will Do
- Manage 4-8 or more audio amplifier vehicle programs
- Support quoting, plan and facilitate tasks to be performed by a global cross-functional team in developing systems. Global areas include China, India, Germany, Mexico, and Michigan.
- Follow corporate product development (or applications) process. Ensure the compliance of team members.
- Ensure prompt decision-making is executed by promoting consensus decisions, intervening when consensus decision-making fails, and making unilateral decisions in the case of a deadlock.
- Establish and manage the program budget.
- Set team goals for timeliness, customer issues, and quality. Lead team to meet goals.
- Negotiate resource allocations from functional managers. When a resource conflict occurs, negotiate a solution with functional managers and other program managers.
- Serve as lead program interface with customers.
- Coordinate and oversee the ordering of prototype and production tooling.
- Track development task completion and report high-level status to management.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- 5-10 years of relevant industry experience in Car Audio, Automotive Electronics Products, Program Management, Sales, Quality, Design, Engineering Management, Process Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
- 3 years of related experience in Program Management
- Project Planning, problem-solving, and project management skills
What is Nice to Have
- Background in Automotive Electronics and Audio systems.
- Understanding of embedded software in audio electronics.
- PMP certification
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or MBA

- Be willing to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally; travel and occasionally travel to the customer location and HARMAN Plants.
- Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
