What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Retail Merchandiser position at Harmony Outdoor Brands LLC?
Harmony Outdoor Brands is looking for a Field Retail Merchandiser to join our team in Boston, MA area. This is a seasonal, independent contractor position and is anticipated to last up to 8 months. The average hours per week will be 30-35 hours, during the day Monday through Friday, and occasional Saturdays.
Field Retail Merchandiser services our retail partners in the Boston area and reports directly to the Territory Manager. The idea candidate is self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team

Every day for a Field Retail Merchandiser will be a little different and include some or all the below responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Visiting store in multiple retail locations in a territory
- Taking inventory of sod at stores
- Inspecting sod hut (sod display outside Garden) to ensure structure stability, condition, and appearance.
- Partnering and building relationships with retail store associates
- Communicating to customers, store personnel daily.
- Providing training to associates in the garden center on the ways of selling Harmony Sod
- Distributing sales tool collateral at Garden Department, Customer Service Desk, and PRO Sales Desk
- Using the company provided mobile technology to perform basic job functions
- Maintaining a quick work pace with effective time management
- Must have flexibility and adaptability to changes in territory coverage.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Daytime availability Monday thru Friday, with some Saturday availability.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Able to climb ladder unassisted and use basic tools.
- High school diploma, GED, or 1-2 years of retail sales or merchandising experience.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task
- Able to work with a sense of urgency
- Adaptability to changing demands and client goals.
- Strength in working independently, but also as a member of the larger company team
