IT Program Manager

HarmonyTech Inc. is seeking a seasoned and exceptionally skilled IT Task Order Program Manager to become an integral part of our team. In this role, you will assume the critical responsibility of overseeing and providing executive-level management for multiple projects and tasks. Your collaborative efforts will extend to working closely with senior-level management within our client organizations, where your primary goal will be to ensure the seamless and successful execution of tasks specified in designated Task Orders. An essential prerequisite for this position is a robust foundation in SAFe Agile methodologies, backed by substantial hands-on experience.

The position is available in Washington, DC, requires a Public Trust Clearance, and U.S. citizenship OR Permanent Residence status required.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee multiple contract operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards and delivering outstanding work performance on all task orders and projects.
• Plan, organize, and efficiently allocate resources to effectively execute work efforts within the assigned projects.
• Assign resources based on their skills, experience, and project requirements, ensuring optimal performance and timely project completion.
• Provide strong leadership and management to personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Implement effective risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues.
• Ensure the application of quality management practices, adhering to established standards and best practices.
• Monitor overall project and contract performance, tracking progress, and promptly addressing any deviations from the plan.
• Keep senior-level management within the client organization informed of the overall program status, including relevant projects, and their potential impact on the higher-level organizational strategic vision.
• Provide subject matter expertise and unique technical knowledge to support decision-making and strategic planning.
• Utilize Agile methodology with a preference for SAFe, incorporating best practices for Agile project management.

Requirements:

• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in managing multiple contract operations.
• Proficiency in utilizing IBM Rational Requirements DNG and IBM Rational Concert.
• Proven ability to manage relationships with senior-level management within client organizations.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership capabilities and experience in effectively managing personnel.
• In-depth understanding of risk management principles and the ability to apply them in project settings.
• Thorough knowledge of quality management methodologies and the ability to ensure adherence to standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse stakeholders.
• Proactive and strategic mindset, with the ability to identify potential issues and propose appropriate solutions.
• Utilize Agile methodology with a preference for SAFe, incorporating best practices for Agile project management as a required qualification.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred, or equivalent experience.
