Technical Security Specialist

Description: The Technical Security Specialist will be responsible for the identification and implementation of technology solutions to satisfy priority cybersecurity requirements, working in close collaboration and communication with colleagues in IT and other departments.Responsibilities: Manage security systems, processes and solutions necessary to satisfy priority cybersecurity requirements Collaborate with colleagues in all departments within the firm and demonstrate understanding of the established security requirements Identify and communicate related, dependent and contingent security needs Research and recommend technical and process solutions Administer and document current, progressing and recommended security solutions Execute security solutions independently and track current solutions Document and communicate tactical planning for the deployment of solutions Evaluate, test and report the on-going status of security solutions Build/maintain relationships with internal customers and external consultants and vendors Assists the Director and Chief with formulating and performing the cyber project Work with others in the Information Technology department to carry out essential job functions and support various department projects and programsEnhance own professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, professional organizations and following current regulationsUnderstand and comply with all applicable Firm policies, procedures, values and philosophiesQualifications: Bachelor’s degree or recognized industry certifications and equivalent experience required Minimum 8 years of experience working as a hands-on cybersecurity professional Minimum 5 years of experience with complex, large-scale implementations and deployments Experience in project lifecycle management (needs assessment, conceptualization, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation) Must have experience with protective technology systems; Firewall and SIEM preferred Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure Background in IT systems and planning IT implementation Excellent listening, oral and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills Commitment to excellent customer service Exceptional work ethic and professional demeanor Meticulous organizational and multi-tasking skills Ability to establish effective working relationships with diverse personalities throughout operational groups and various professional levels Exercises sound independent judgment under minimal direct supervision Proven desire and ability to complete tasks and meet deadlines to the best of his/her ability Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently as well as coordinate with a team Frequent utilization of electronic communications platforms Military experience welcome Harris Beach is committed to an inclusive environment and we welcome applications from diverse candidates.
