Job Summary
The Associate Electrical Engineer position provides opportunities to problem-solve and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria on varied and diverse projects. The ideal candidate will have a background in Electrical Engineering and a passion to develop in the Electrical discipline. Bring your curiosity and problem-solving mindset to this exciting role!
Responsibilities
- Assist with power systems analysis.
- Assist with development of drawings and specifications for construction.
- Perform field investigations with direction from other engineers.
- Assist with lighting layouts and lighting control system designs.
- Participate in formal, informal and project team meetings.
- Assist with development of equipment and construction specification documents.
- Assist with development of plans for lighting, power, and grounding.
- Assist with development of schematics and wiring diagrams for motor controls, process controls and building systems controls.
- Ability and willingness to travel to an off-site location and/or accept client site assignments when required.
- Prepare capital cost and material take-off estimates for projects.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 0 - 3 years of electrical design experience in the design of power distribution, lighting, and grounding systems for production, manufacturing and industrial facilities preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Skill with AutoCAD, CADWorx, Revit, lighting design software (AGI32, Visual or Dialux), SKM, or Easy Power is desirable.
- Travel to client locations and/or accept client site assignments when required.
- Ability to pass client badging and screening processes.
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam pass/EIT license certification is desirable.
- Desire to obtain professional engineer license in the future is preferred.
